But Fiona got to this point by surviving a nightmare.
Several years ago, she was the only survivor of a serial killer -- a madman who stalked and abducted young women, strangled them, and left them buried with a red scarf on their bodies. On Orcas Island, Fiona has found the peace and solitude she needed to rebuild her life. Yet all that changes on the day Simon Doyle barrels up her drive, desperate for her help.
He's the reluctant owner of an out-of-control puppy, foisted upon him by his mother. Jaws has eaten through Simon's house, and he's at his wit's end.
To Fiona, Jaws is nothing she can't handle.
Simon is another matter. A newcomer to Orcas, he's a rugged and intensely private artist, known for creating exquisite furniture. Simon never wanted a puppy, and he most definitely doesn't want a woman. Besides, the lanky redhead is not his type. Of blood and bone 5 By Denise Broadway Wonderful read, just wish the next book in this series was out!
Looking forward to it. Exciting and Entrancing 5 By caren I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. The sign of a good book is its ability to captivate the reader from start to finish; as well as, making the reader laugh and cry in segments of the book. This book did all that and more.
A great addition to the story 5 By Harvey T: It's a great add-on to the prior book. Arguably could be a stand alone read, but it's not worth skipping the first book. This series doesn't have what can be meandering depth of other fantasy series, but is itself a driving story which is enrapturing to the reader. I can't wait until the next one comes out.
The first book took me a while to get to and once I started it finished quickly, this one I read in two days. This trilogy is really not what you would expect from reading her other books.
Took me awhile to finish because it just did not hold my attention. I enjoy suspenseful romance novels. This is more like Stephen King. Not a big fan of those kind of books.
Looking forward to more of her older style of written. Hope she comes out with a better book soon. A mishmash of apocalyptic genres from Walking Dead to Harry Potter 2 By dshmom I feel as if we are running out of new ideas and stories to tell, and have detoured into derivative narratives.
